Courtney Cechini

Courtney Cechini is an intern practicing via telehealth and in-person at the St. Charles office. She is pursuing her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University and completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Mexico.
Courtney is interested in working with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, trauma, mood disorders, neurological and developmental disorders, and ADHD. She has experience working with individuals with a variety of different experiences and cultural backgrounds.
Courtney is very passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients to promote lasting growth and meaningful change. She believes in using a multidisciplinary approach to therapy and tailors her approach to meet each client’s specific needs. She utilizes techniques from theoretical models such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic approaches, skills training, and mindfulness in addition to traditional psychotherapy.
Courtney is fluent in both English and American Sign Language
