“I believe counseling should be a safe space and collaborative process in which individuals feel empowered to work through any life stressors or mental health concerns they may have. One of my many goals for clients is to help them make meaning in their life through self-exploration and acceptance. Moreover, I believe that fostering a strong therapeutic connection with my clients will allow them to create long-lasting growth and meaningful change. My passion for counseling is rooted in my desire to help others work through life’s many challenges.”

Sophia uses an integrative counseling approach with clients based on their unique needs and lived experiences. She generally employes interventions from various theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), play therapy, and the humanistic approach.
