Lynsey Sloan, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker practicing in our St. Charles and Oak Brook offices, has more than 15 years’ experience working with children and families in the foster care system. In both case management and clinical therapy roles, Ms. Sloan’s work has focused on helping children and families heal from the trauma of abuse and neglect. Ms. Sloan believes in a strength-based, solution-focused approach to help individuals and families develop and maintain healthy coping skills for overall wellbeing.

Ms. Sloan is interested in helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma issues. Partnering with clients, Ms. Sloan works to provide a safe environment to work toward individual goals for desired change. Her approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused CBT, with some DBT and somatic interventions incorporated.

Ms. Sloan completed her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University and her master’s degree in social work from Illinois State University. She is certified in trauma focused CBT.
