Mary Ellen is an intern practicing via telehealth and in-person in the St Charles office. She is pursuing her master's degree at Northwestern University and completed her bachelor's degree in nursing from Loyola University.

"I thoroughly enjoy working with children and adolescents with an understanding, interactive style. When working with adults I enjoy helping them in building their self awareness, identifying their strengths, overcoming struggles, managing their anxiety and depression and finding meaning and balance in their life"

Mary Ellen is interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, ADHD, trauma, developmental disorders and life stress. 

Mary Ellen's background and wide range of experience contributes to her being very passionate about her clients and their wellbeing. She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy from various theoretical models including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), humanistic approaches, play therapy, and mindfulness. Her integrative approach allows for a collaborative style of psychotherapy and a unique fit for each individual.
